THE TREE HOUSE: RECONNECTING KIDS WITH NATURE
Every year the American Institute of Architects holds the I Look Up Film Challenge. I wanted to compete in 2017 but was unable to find an appropriately inspiring project. When it rolled around in 2018 I spent about a month looking in Southern California for a subject without much luck. Then this showed up in my facebook news feed. I had met the guys at Modus Studio while working on “Clean Lines, Open Spaces” and they posted about this tree house they had just completed for Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs, Arkansas. One look and I knew I had to film this for the competition. The only problem was that I was in Southern California and the Tree House was in Arkansas. Luckily I was able to find a couple talented videographers to film it for me and I produced and edited it here at home.
